"Psychological portraiture is at the core of what my paintings are all about. I aim to create dramatic and disturbing images which explore the isolation, perversity and complexity of the human condition. My latest existential crime paintings, which depict famous artists in unsettling dream scenes, are concerned with finding the violence, eroticism and obsession that lies beneath the surface of the creative process." Mia Funk
Very powerful...the morph of the bird of prey and Beckett’s head is particularly peculiar and apt - Cherry Smyth, art critic (Modern Painters)
