About this event
One of Shakespeare’s most famous comedies, A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows three storylines as they are tangled together by fae trickster Puck; four young lovers traverse an enchanted forest on Midsummer’s night, The Faerie King Oberon and Queen Titania feud with one another, and a travelling troupe present a play within a play. Believed to have been written in 1595 or 1596 to celebrate an aristocratic wedding, ours is a story of order and chaos, waking and dreaming, and love and marriage.
