Join a host of dynamic female contributors for an evening of song, music and discussion exploring wake traditions and death laments in European folk music. The line up includes: Choice Prize-nominated RÓIS whose debut album ‘Mo Léan’ has earned wide critical praise and a spot on the; veteran sean-nós singer Sarah Ghriallais, winner of the prestigious Corn Uí Riada and the 2022 recipient of the Gradam Ceoil for Traditional Singer of the Year; ethnomusicologist Marian Caulfield of University College Cork; and Emmi Kuittinen, Finnish folk artist specializing in the music of the Karelian and Ingrian regions.
