About this event
Musikverein Kopfing is a marching band from Kopfing, Austria. The band was originally founded in 1890 as a veterans' association and remained active until the mid-1960s, with interruptions caused by the two World Wars.
During that time, the number of musicians gradually declined until they eventually no longer had a conductor. It was only in 1967 that the local priest established the music band anew with 50 young people, including 8 girls, which was revolutionary for that time. This marked the beginning of a new era. The band went on to have major performances both domestically and internationally.
