About this event
In recognition of International Week of the Deaf, join in for an Irish Sign Language-interpreted tour that unpacks the fascinating history of Collins Barracks.
From Barracks to Museum explores the history of the site of Collins Barracks, from its settlement by Vikings in the 12th century to its re-furbishment as the National Museum of Ireland.
Who built Collins Barracks? What were the lives like of the soldiers who called it home? Which artefacts does it house today? All these questions and more will be explored.
No booking is required.
Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. However, priority will be given to members of the Deaf community and those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
