About this event
Jonathan Swift (1667-1745) was the writer of Gulliver’s Travels and Dean of St Patrick’s Cathedral where he is buried. Wonderland’s theatrical tour will explore Swift’s satirical legacy in stone, in the environs of his cathedral.
The tour will feature readings of works such as Directions to Servants at his memorial to his Butler, To Stella on her Birthday and On sleeping in Church from the pulpit. Led by theatre maker Alice Coghlan with actor Damien Devaney, who played Swift for Wonderland’s The Jonathan Swift Audio Walk, this tour will explore the cathedral in the company of its most famous Dean.
Tours at 14:30 & 16:00.
