GradFest24: Bent by Martin Sherman
Monday, 8 July 2024 - Thursday, 11 July 2024
About this event
"We made love. We were real. We were human. We made love."
In the rising darkness of Nazi Germany, Bent tells the story of Max, a gay man living a carefree life in Berlin. When violence erupts and his world crumbles, Max is forced to make desperate choices. 'Bent' by Martin Sherman explores themes of survival, love, and the fight for humanity in the depths of depravity.
This production is presented as part of GradFest 2024, a collaboration of productions designed and directed by final year MFA theatre directing and stage design students at The Lir Academy.
This amateur production of Bent is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.
