Plínio blends the tradition of classical guitar with the rich, rhythmic vibrancy of Brazilian folk music. Known for his mesmerising performances and versatility, his playing ranges from the delicate works of Bach to the exuberance of Brazilian melodies, delivering each with heart and expressive brilliance.

An exclusive Decca Gold recording artist, Plínio’s debut album Saudade topped the Billboard Traditional Classical Albums Chart and he is a regular collaborator with highly acclaimed artists such as Lang Lang and Sheku Kanneh-Mason. He has performed in concert halls around the world, including renowned venues such as London’s Royal Albert Hall & Radio City Music Hall in New York and made his BBC Proms debut in 2024.
