About this event
A new Irish-language translation of Aeschylus’ Greek tragedy Na Peirsigh / Persians by renowned writer and poet Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill is coming to the Abbey Theatre.
Na Peirsigh / Persians tells the story of a surprising Greek victory, extraordinarily told from the perspective of the losing side. It will be a thrilling opportunity to encounter a rich new version of Europe’s oldest known surviving play retold in Europe’s oldest spoken language. An Irish language production with English subtitles.
