NSO And Marin Alsop: Beethoven, Rouse And Stravinsky
Friday, 1 December 2023
About this event
‘Human dynamo’ (Seen and Heard International) conductor Marin Alsop makes her much anticipated return to the National Symphony Orchestra with Beethoven’s vivid opera-in-miniature, Leonore Overture No. 3, and the raw, elemental punch and power of Stravinsky’s history-making masterpiece, The Rite of Spring.
The ‘truly outstanding’ (MusicWeb International) Emer McDonough is the soloist in Christopher Rouse’s exhilarating and poignant, Irish folk music-influenced Flute Concerto.
