About this event
A work of profound power and beauty, Mahler’s monumental Second Symphony is a thunderous journey from darkness to light, from despair to joy, its final ascent into Paradise a radiant display of its title, Resurrection.
The ‘charismatic’ (Bühne) Anja Bihlmaier conducts the National Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in this rousing masterpiece, with the ‘radiant voice’ (The Irish Times) of soprano Ailish Tynan and mezzo-soprano Niamh O’Sullivan, ‘whose star is very much in the ascendancy’ (The Arts Review), and Cór Linn.
Tickets €20, €29.50, €37.50, €45
