About this event
Origami is often seen as child’s play but the dizzying heights that modern artists have taken it to is truly mind-blowing!
Join artist Hugh McElveen to discover how to create animal shapes and your own models out of a flat square of paper using origami techniques.
Learn how to bring paper to its fullest artistic potential in this origami workshop inspired by sculptures of mythical Asian creatures which can be seen at Collins Barracks.
Sunday, 22nd September, 2pm - 4pm
This drop-in family workshop will take place in the Learning Resource Room off Clarke Square. It is suitable for ages 8+. All materials will be supplied.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. No booking is required.
