Quilombo Terra will share with us a narrative from the perspective of the snake, reflecting on its relationship with the land.

By embodying the archetype of Oxumarê, the Orisha that symbolizes freedom, duality, and cycles. Quilombo’s performance brings a message of empowerment, embracing all the parts of the self and respecting other cosmological frameworks of the snake as a representation of healing and transformation.

Quilombo Terra is an initiative of Afro-Brazilian artists in Ireland. Motivated by counter-colonial thoughts, which are based on ancestral knowledge and practices.
