Dublin Book Festival is one of Ireland’s most successful and vibrant book festivals, showcasing and developing the best of Ireland's writers, publishers and illustrators, in a festive and welcoming environment.

Taking place in November, Dublin Book Festival has over 60 events in venues throughout Dublin, including Dublin City Libraries, the National Library of Ireland, the Royal Irish Academy, The National Botanic Gardens and many more, with the main festival weekend taking place in The Printworks, Dublin Castle, in the heart of the city.

Events range from author panel discussions, book launches and walking tours, to creative workshops, professional development events, and a full family and schools programme, covering contemporary fiction, history, poetry, non-fiction and much more. This intimate festival showcases and celebrates the best writers, publishers and illustrators from this island. Most events are free with a selection of paid events.
