Shamrock Showband

Shamrock Showband are the border-pop duo, Jamie Bishop (muckno) and Conor McAuley. From Castleblayney and Dundalk respectively, their music draws heavily from ‘country and Irish’, old-time fiddle music, punk and sampling. Their aesthetic is a raw pastiche of country music’s legacy in Ireland.

Their live shows incorporate a mixture of sultry vocals, country fiddle, lush pedal steel, and sampling that creates an exciting pastiche of the glamorous Showband era. Shamrock Showband have been described as “a reawakening of the legacy of country music in Ireland” and “certainly jive-able”.
