Explore your creative side in the National Gallery’s iconic Shaw Room at this free drop-in family workshop.

Join artist Sarah Edmondson to take inspiration from Hendrick Averkamp’s painting of a scene on the ice – an artwork filled with dozens of people socialising, working, and playing in an icy landscape.

Free, no booking required. Stay for as long (or as little) as you like.

Families with children of all ages welcome.
