About this event
This Spanish Golden Age play tells the story of a young peasant couple, Peribanez and Casilda, whose idyllic rural life is shattered when a powerful nobleman becomes obsessed with Casilda's beauty. This tragi-comedy captures the tensions between the nobility and peasantry, and the chaos it brings to a community.
Running time approximately 2.5 hours including interval.
This production is our second time working under the Theatre Greenbook Basic Guidelines. Through this, we are working to create more sustainable theatre and training our students to be greener in their practices.
