About this event
Synge’s great comic masterpiece tells the story of Christy Mahon, who stumbles into a public house in County Mayo claiming he has killed his father and so capturing the romantic attention of the daughter of the house, Pegeen Mike.
Exploring the fickle nature of fame, this hilarious satire follows the rise and fall of Christy as he goes from ‘hero to zero’ in matter of hours.
An amazingly fresh play that skewers the mob mentality of ‘celebrity worship’ and ‘cancel culture’ still prevalent today.
Running Time: 2 hours 15 minutes including an interval
